Woven with care in the hills of Otavalo, Ecuador, a brother and sister and their spouses bring each alpaca throw to life through shared weaving skills. Their process begins with hand-selecting yarn colors and carefully wrapping them around a large spinning wooden frame to precisely map out the throw design. Once measured, the weavers work the loom with practiced strength, pulling back on the yarns. When the weaving is complete, the throw is brushed with a native Teasel plant, giving our throws their signature softness and luminous sheen. Each piece is then hand-ironed with a wooden block and finished with hand-sewn edges.
